The staff team at Bridge House are aware of the importance for a child to maintain contact with family and friends. Contact arrangement including any restrictions on contact for the protection of the child are discussed at the time of a child / young persons admission to the home to ensure arrangements are included in the individual child’s care plan.

Written guidance is provided to staff to clarify the rights of children, parents and others to maintain contact, the supervision of contacts where necessary to safeguard the child or other children / young people in the home. There are clear policies and procedures in place around people visiting the home.

Family and friends are encouraged and welcome to visit at any time as considered and agreed in the care plan the staff team encourage parents , relatives and friends to participate in activities in the home and local community.. The home is close to a large selection o B&B and Hotel accommodation for families wanting overnight or weekend stays.
